Vision of the Farm and Ministry
Based on Habakkuk 2:1-4
"Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it..."
Purpose of the Farm and its Amenities
We envision a place of Biblical restoration — a sanctuary where broken lives are made whole through Jesus Christ. Every environment on the farm is prayerfully created and tailored to reach specific groups of people with the gospel. Our goal is to foster Christian fellowship through which we can draw in the lost, lead them to salvation, disciple them in the Word, and equip them to go out and reach others for Christ. Every facility and function on the farm exists to sustain the ministry and advance the Kingdom of God.
The Farm
The farm is a 25-hectare property located on the R399, approximately 7 km from Vredenburg toward Velddrif. Originally a dairy farm, it was transformed into a rehabilitation center in the early 2000s and has since hosted multiple ministries. Currently, it is operated by Repairer of the Breach Ministries, trading as Genadefontein Restoration Centre.
Unlike previous efforts that focused solely on addiction recovery, we have received a broader vision from the Lord. We believe Genadefontein is destined to become a jewel of the West Coast — an oasis of hope, healing, and Kingdom purpose.
Five Ministry Environments
1. Rehabilitation/Restoration Centre
At the heart of the farm is the Genadefontein Restoration Centre, focused on Biblical restoration for those battling addiction. The centre is rooted in building a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and restoring the individual's dignity, self-worth, and ability to choose freedom from addiction. The restoration process includes the implementation of the Celebrate Recovery 12-Step Program, which integrates Biblical principles with recovery steps.
Unlike secular recovery models, this Christ-centered program emphasizes spiritual healing through accountability, prayer, confession, forgiveness, and reliance on God’s grace. Each step is accompanied by Scripture and focuses on breaking denial, surrendering to Christ, making amends, and daily walking in victory. Through small groups, mentorship, and personal devotion, residents are guided from brokenness to freedom. The current facilities accommodate up to 50 individuals, including both students and staff.
2. Skill Centres (Hard and Soft Skills)
i. Hard Skill Centre:
Operated by an accredited train-the-trainer instructor, this centre will offer practical training in trades such as metalwork, carpentry, and civil work. Trainees will receive recognized certifications, empowering both residents and community members with employable skills and renewed purpose.
ii. Soft Skill Centre:
Powered by programs like the Focus Life Institute, this centre will cater to youth and young adults, offering training in life orientation, career guidance, identity development, and job-readiness — all grounded in Biblical values. These soft skills will equip individuals not just for the marketplace, but also for personal maturity and leadership in their communities.
While skill development is the outward goal, our true mission is to build relationships that lead to evangelism, salvation, and discipleship.
3. Christian Camp Site
The campsite will consist of three clusters of five chalets each (housing up to 100 guests), a multipurpose hall for dining and worship, and additional features like a central amphitheatre and firepits for fellowship and ministry.
These facilities will host Christian camps for men, women, and youth at affordable rates. Each camp will be focused on deepening participants’ walk with God, and welcoming those who do not yet know Him into a life-transforming encounter. Outside ministries will be welcomed, provided they align with sound Biblical doctrine.
4. Christian Coffee Shop and Fellowship Hub
Born from the need for ongoing Christian fellowship, the coffee shop will serve as the heartbeat of after-hours ministry — a welcoming space where believers and seekers can gather outside traditional church hours.
The venue will include:
· A Christian-themed coffee shop and padstal
· A showroom to display goods produced in the skill centre
· An auditorium for plays, talks, and worship concerts
· Prayer and counselling rooms staffed by trained, Spirit-filled counsellors
· A 24/7 Live Praise and Worship Room, open for spontaneous or scheduled worship and streamed online
· A podcast studio to discuss relevant Christian topics
· Gardens with a fishpond and picnic areas.
· A children’s petting zoo and playground
· A large nursery
This environment is meant to bridge the gap between conversion and community. New believers will no longer be left isolated after their decision for Christ. Christians will be encouraged to bring unsaved friends into a peaceful, Spirit-filled atmosphere — where they can experience love, hear truth, and encounter the presence of God.
Closing Statement
Our vision is not merely to build a ministry, but to cultivate a movement — a Christ-centered community on the West Coast that touches every part of life: from restoration and training to worship and fellowship. A place where the broken are restored, the equipped are sent out, and Jesus is glorified.
